Personal care attendants provide personal care assistance for an independent living by aiding with activities of daily life or handling medical equipment.  NILP mentions that Personal care attendants services, as opposed to hospitals or nursing homes, retain clients living in their homes with personal care assistance. The application is managed by the users. The individual receiving services administers their programme on their own or with the help of a surrogate of their choosing. As per NILP these are the basic rules to be a personal care attendant- Anyone who’s at least 14 years of age Legally able to work in the United States Someone who is NOT your Legal Guardian, Spouse or PCA Surrogate.
